Optimise the parcel return flow for employees in the warehouses

I helped the Veepee Tech team of the Logistics department to provide a better experience of the parcel return flow for the employees in the warehouses. I had to use the Google Material Design System and design an interface for touch screens as well as some features for parcel and containers mobile scanning.
The challenge: Design an interface that is used 8 hours a day, and up to 700 objects scanned per day, per employee.
Therefore I had to study the employee’s behavior inside the warehouse and look to optimise as much as possible any action they take. A single tap on the screen is a physical effort for those people already working very hard, my goal was to make their life easier. By making an intuitive interface, one tap less is actually 700 taps less a day.

Note: This mission was a part-time project of 1 day per week for a year.

A set of features have been designed on mobile for parcels and containers scanning, swapping, etc. Logistics in warehouses is a very complex environment and we have to optimise the interactions in there.
